Travelodge Plymouth Hotel

30 Derrys Cross, Plymouth PL1 2SW, UK – 0871 984 6251

Lovely room with comfortable bed. Extremely helpful staff couldn't do enough for us. Close to all amenities

Service was good, bed comfortable. Ugly art in room. Shower was hot. Breakfast options weird and in a box, and the little fuzzy Muppet used for advertising is neither professional nor appealing.

The New Continental Hotel

Millbay Rd, Plymouth PL1 3LD, UK – 01752 220782

I had a lovely stay at the New continental. Staff and service are amazing. The room is good with lot of facilities but a small room bar would make it perfect.

Functional hotel. Friendly staff. Rooms are a decent size although the TV was tiny. Smell of damp in the hallway and bathroom. A little noisy from the bar across the road. I would stay again.

The Drake

2, Windsor Villas, Lockyer Street, Plymouth PL1 2QD, UK – 01752 229730

Booked a last minute room here as we had problems with our original hotel and we're glad we did! Owners were really friendly, helpful and made us feel welcome. Room was a little outdated but very clean and had everything we needed for our stay. Location is excellent just a minute for Plymouth Hoe and with free on site parking! Breakfast was included and was excellent, food all freshly cooked to order and was lovely meeting would stay again.

The bathroom was too small and not cleaned properly, breakfast could have had more effort. My bed was comfie

Pubs, Gastro Pubs and Bars

The Fishermans Arms

31 Lambhay St, Plymouth PL1 2NN, UK – 01752 268243

Very nice restaurant experience. Food was nicely done and not too expensive. The owner took care to accommodate people by moving tables around if necessary and knows her stuff when running a pub/restaurant. Cosy atmosphere and lighting. The Pub was in an unexpected location, but is worth a visit.

Treated to lunch by my daughter Absolutely fabulous fish platter for two sharing followed by cream brûlée. Simply the best. Great family concern and friendly atmosphere.

The Notte Inn

60 Notte St, Plymouth PL1 2AG, UK – 07500 894492

Nice place for a quiet few. Plus a restaurant upstairs if you are hungry.

fantastic place and lovely staff recommend to everyone to have lunch or dinner great quality food !!!

Stoke Inn

43 Devonport Rd, Plymouth PL3 4DL, UK – 01752 515749

Really good old school pub great ales. No nonsense publican. Great place

I love the place, good choice of beer, great ambiance when busy, friendly staff and owner, and they always make you feel very welcome. Good place for lunch too, burgers, nice steaks too.

Travel Super Market search and compare prices for hotels all over the world. Could also be useful for you. I This said I was told by a hotelier that the way to get cheap rooms is to ring up the week before and ask for the weekend rate. You can usually get an absolute bargain as they will trying to book all the rooms that they have not sold! Could be worth a try!

Bed & Breakfast Accommodation plus Guesthouses

Roman House

271A Beacon Park Rd, Plymouth PL2 3JP, UK – 01752 426146

Roman House was the ideal B&B for us. We visited Sunday night and had a family funeral to attend the next morning. Mike and Ania were great and let us stay later in the morning. Breakfast was good too!

I cannot commend Ania and Mike enough for the lovely and hassle free time i had when i stayed for a week. The room was spotless and very spacious and the breakfast set me up nicely for the day. They were both very considerate and every whim was catered for. Location was superb for me and i really liked the secure parking. Would definately recommend!

Kynance House

113 Citadel Rd, The Hoe, Plymouth PL1 2RN, UK – 01752 266821

Hotel was good, clean and the staff were friendly. Breakfast was quickly made, fresh and warm when served. Only thing lacking was parking space, although plenty of Long Stay car parks are in the area.

Stayed 3 nights before a ferry to spain, clean and tidy room, breakfast lovely and nice pleasent staff, can't fault it .

The Phantele Bed & Breakfast

176 Devonport Rd, Plymouth PL1 5RD, UK – 01752 561506

The hotel is a really welcoming place and very comfortable. The family are really accommodating and cook an excellent breakfast, even for Veggies! I'll definitely book there again!

Good friendly welcome, nice clean rooms. I loved the breakfast, I asked the server to make our coffee stronger as it was way too weak for our taste but those toasted cakes with cheese and poached egg on top were delightful

If you would like something truly different you might like to have a look at Airbnb. These are mostly B and Bs provided by people on a very informal basis. The may have a spare room, a yurt, a cottage or a barge with space they can receive guests for a night or a month! The website is highly professional. You can really see what you are going to get. Very well worth a look. Airbnb also show 'conventional' B&Bs as well. Enjoy!

Southwest Holiday Cottages

8 Channel Park Ave, Plymouth PL3 6LQ, UK – 01752 260711

I've had a great experience with this company. They are very helpful and provided me with a really good deal. Over the phone I was offered information on the area and details about what cottage was suitable for what I was looking for. I would book with them again. Found it a lot easier than booking with a larger firm.

I've booked with this company three times over the last 10 years. I recommend using their services as they are very reliable and helpful.

Plymouth Hoe Holiday Apartments

The Esplanade, Plymouth PL1 2PJ, UK – 07770 261110

We had a lovely few days here. A lovely apartment, very well equipped, very comfortable and fabulous views! We will be back here on our next trip to Plymouth.

Plymouth Self Catering accommodation at its best, we have now stayed with luxury sea views twice. Once staying for our families Graduation with Plymouth University and the other during the Christmas holiday period. As a family we much perfer staying in holiday / serviced apartments and luxury sea views have always provided easy booking and quality apartments. The apartment on Plymouth Hoe overlooked the Hoe and Graduation, perfect! And the sea view is fantastic, an ever changing picture. Much better than any B&Bs or hotels in the area, with competitive rates. We will use again on our visits to Plymouth and recommend. Thanks
