It's a nice place still. But it use to be better. I think it could be great ! Just needs a boost of life back into it. Sometimes, they only open the down stairs with the main dance floor closed.
This place transform during the evening from restaurant to restaurant/bar/night spot with dancefloor. The food was good and the cocktails are nice. Prices are also reasonable. I would say if you're looking for a place to chat as a couple or out with friends and have a warm ambience then I'd recommend you arrive a little earlier as the later crowd when the dance music starts to go on can get pretty rowdy. When I was there, groups of people were arriving who seemed to have already been out drinking for a while and were being loud and a bit silly. Im not a prude theres nothing wrong with having fun but it just got a bit much. They did have security on the door though. Also when the music's on it gets pretty loud so conversations over a dinner table isn't really doable. I would definitely come back to this place though.

Good god what a dive bar :D Love me a dirty metal bar with a good choice of Viking Mede, alto wine and of course pirate rum! Staff are fun, long haired and metal! The bar is convenient to a cash point if you are in need of cash but they take card so what does it matter... Yes it's a mess but you won't find a nicer place to drink where your not worried about getting your head kicked in!
Not beautiful to look at inside, but it's about the experience. The staff are amazing and welcoming, friendly and helpful. This pub is a popular venue for bands, and the drinks are very well priced. Love it!

They do 2-4-1 drinks, great food, show live sport. What's not to love. The only thing I was disappointed in was that I found out about this place so late into my trip to Plymouth :(
Big bar. Lots of screens. Some of the larger very cheap. Good security on the door. Good for a group of lads to watch sports.

We love it here. Not sure how many times I've been over the years, but it's a lot. The food is always delicious and service is amazing no matter how busy it is. Plus possibly the friendliest owners ever. Couldn't recommend enough
This is a lovely setting for a larger party (8ppl+). Food confuses me. Topaz is not really topaz. Some things were a bit too bland some a bit too hot, also I could not tell what some thing were. Also all plates had a lot of salad in them. A part of 8 can get all you can eat topaz plates for £20 per head BUT I don't think it is good value because the food is very basic with a lot of salad. Over all it is ok, could be amazing if the food improved.

We stopped off here to eat before going to the aquarium and it was just what we were looking for. The did was nice and the staff were friendly. They even or up with our little one "doing laps" around the restaurant! Good atmosphere for families.
I Ordered a vegan and gluten free pizza and they were delicious, the service was fast and friendly, we loved it! Thank you for catering for special diets. Wasnt too busy and salad bar was good..

What a wonderful experience. A very warm welcome, fabulous attentive staff. Food was absolutely outstanding. Would very highly recommend, such a pleasure to find a restaurant of such excellence.
The only Italian restaurant I patron in this city, otherwise I make it myself. Absolutely fantastic! Lovely staff. Outstanding food & price. Only downfall is having to make reservations a week ahead. They must lose so much business because of that.

Food was fantastic, service was friendly and very patient even though we didnt really know what we were ordering, five stars, no hesitation!
Great food Good position on Barbican. Best Chinese In Plymouth you will not be disappointed

My wife and I tried to get a table here on Saturday night, but we were told they were fully booked. We rang on Sunday to book, successfully. We enjoyed our food, marinated pork for Emma, and king prawns for me, both with pickled ginger and pineapple, and egg fried rice, followed by a nice Green Bamboo ice cream dessert each. Why no fifth star? The prawn toasts ordered as a starter weren't delivered until we had almost finished our main course.
This is the best food around, great service and lovely people. We often get a takeaway and order enough for the next day too. I am in fact on my way to get a takeaway as we have family round, I will be at the door at 6pm where they always have a Tiger beer waiting for me, can't wait!

Food is always fresh and tasty. Can be a bit cramped and noisy especially at weekends. Staff are always friendly and helpful. I've not had a bad experience there yet. Would get 5 stars if they updated the ageing decor! 😀
My team from work regularly visit Fortune Court. It is an all-you-can-eat restaurant with table service, we all get to sit and eat together. No trips to the buffet. Another great thing is BYO drinks, this really helps keep the cost down. Most importantly the food is good and the staff are very friendly. This is a great place for groups.
57 Notte St, Plymouth PL1 2AG, UK – 01752 262948
It's an average Bengali restaurant. Nan could be a lot better. The curries are generic and formulaic. Prices are on the upper side of the norm, same for the beer.
Good level of service & quality food

Had a Valentine's meal there last night and found the place, food and service to be excellent. My fiancee and myself found the food to be full of flavour and delicious. We will be back very soon. A little gem of a place which we will be recommending to everyone.
Standard Indian, curry and rice seemed to be quite plain and lacking flavour. Nice place and staff were friendly as well and being quick and efficient. Downside is now you have to pay for parking in the evening.

Best curry house in Plymouth. Good portions of food. Excellent curries.
Good food in quirky surroundings. Could have done with cranking up the thermostat on a bitterly cold winter's evening.

cozy restaurant with lovely food and friendly staff lentil soup was delicious, however I'd recommend cooking lamb with a stalk & a few leaves of fresh mint or adding a touch of mint sauce to the lamb gravy special thanks to Martin, who served us twice, providing top quality service each time (I'm a chef) ...and obviously cracking 40% off mains :) thanks Guys! would definitely visit the place again
Great service and food and cracking 40% off main meals. The negroni cocktail is not to be underestimated. Definitely go back for seconds.
Mills Bakery, 4 Royal William Rd, Plymouth PL1 3GE, UK – 01752 261120
A reasonable meal payed in part by Tesco club card vouchers and so only cost around 20 pounds for all 3 of my family to each. The interior is very nice styled around the dockyard warehouse walls and flooring. A large pizza oven overlooks the dining room. The food itself is the same as any other Italian or Prezzo but was still good the night we went.
Went here to use a voucher we'd been given. 3 courses and a glass of wine. The location of the restaurant is fantastic. If you get a good table you'll have views of the harbour. The food was pretty decent, good pizzas, good meatball starter. Was really busy when we went but the service was still very good.

I love this place. Have never had a bad meal. Everyone who works here is very friendly but professional.
Friendly caring staff excellent food reasonably priced

The food here is amazing! I've only been vegan for a couple months and I cannot get enough of this place. The decor, the service and the menu are all brilliant. I'd advise booking as the last few times I've gone it's been hard to get a table. High demand! Love it.
Really good experience. Fantastic food served by people who really care what their customers think. Delicious. Best eating out Vegan experience so far. Wish I lived nearer!
97 Mayflower St, Plymouth PL1 1SD, UK – 01752 252888
Unbelievably good food and unbelievably good prices. An absolute gem in Plymouth and a must. Even their bog standard korma was the most flavoursome I’ve ever had. Simply amazing. Massive recommend.
We go here every time we are back in the West-country to see my mum. Not sure if I come for the curry or on a family visit! Top veg curry and non-alcoholic beer - superb.

Just been for a meal while visiting Plymouth. What an absolutely fabulous meal. Flavoursome well cooked and all cleaned our plates? Portion size was generous too. Lovely staff aswell.
Good hearty greek seafood. I ordered the surf and turf which was fantastic. Friends ordered linguine which was good as well and the scallops which were really fresh. Portions were sizeable, none of us managed to finish. Overall highly recommend
11 Quay Rd, Plymouth PL1 2JZ, UK – 01752 221155
The staff were very friendly and helpful and made us feel very welcome. They have an extensive cocktail menu with offers on some of them. Really enjoyed the prawns and the steak, quite a long wait for main but it was a table of 10. The food was tasty but limited choice on the menu especially for vegetarians.
Very nice bar restaurant, you can enjoy a great cocktail in the barbican, one of my favorite place in Plymouth.

The Dairy is a trendy but quirky bar. Very friendly staff and an excellent selection of drinks and cocktails. Spent the whole evening there and loved every minute 😊
Met some friends there after work and they were tipsy and I was sober but enjoyed it,bar staff ok and a good atmosphere and some good tunes from the d j
Tigermilk at The Duke, c/o The Duke of Cornwall Hotel, Millbay Road, Plymouth PL1 3LG, UK – 01752 275858
Excellent cocktails - expensive but well worth the money! Advise booking a table as they can get very busy. Normally attracts couples and intimate groups but can have bigger parties present (not advised). Advised going in sober so you can taste the magnificence!
Great drinks. Lovely if you fancy somewhere a bit different
