How cinemas used to be! This is something of the ghost of cinemas past and looks like it last saw a lick of paint in 1973. Similarly, this looks like the year the seats were installed as some of them now have plastic covers with "Do not use" labels. This gives one the feeling of actually being in a ghost story as you are watching the film - helped by the lack of heating. Hard to see how this relic can survive but I so hope it can as it would be sad to lose this unique atmosphere. Staff seemed to be friendly and the picture was appropriately projected onto the screen.
An old gem, not long for this world. The Beatles played here in the 60's but time waits for no man and soon this great old building will be gone. If you fancy a new film at a great price, you can't go far wrong with a visit here.

Vue is a large cinema complex in Plymouth , the car park is large but can fill up quickly at peak times. If you don't mind paying extra the VIP seats are the ones to go for as they have plenty of legroom and extra width. Would have got 5 stars had it not been for the amount of time wasted on advertising ( approximately 30 minutes ) before the film. If it was all trailers of films about to show it would be ok, sadly it was adverts for cat food etc. A few other problems were trouble with the website when booking and then ticket collection machine didn't want to work. And then there was the noise of people rustling packaging in the cinema while eating.
Ample parking in mornings. Busier on weekends evenings. Cinema clean tidy and films always run about 20 mins later due to adverts. Although that’s standard. Defo recommend

Excellent cinema, showing a range of arthouse films and more, situated in Roland Lewinsky Building, Plymouth University
The seats are reasonably comfortable provided you're not sitting for too long. The screen is the perfect size and always shows interesting and original content

We went here to see the pantomime Peter pan. We had reserved a table before the show in the theatre's restaurant, the reservations are for 2 hours prior to the show starting. It was a fixed 2 or 3 course menu. The food was excellent and much better choice and quality than I had imagined. The staff were excellent and it made a very enjoyable visit to the theatre.
Been here twice of recent times - to watch Elf and Panto (big Phil Mitchell fan, guilty!!)...both shows were great and would highly recommend it you get chance to see either of them (believe the panto is around until the 13th January and tickets going fast!) - we were lucky enough to get in one of the wings (I think that's the correct name?) And so was very close for the panto. Could only get seats on the top tier for Elf but don't let that put you off, you get a good view from wherever you are sat. Very professionally run the theatre itself and the staff very helpful to find your seats, etc. Only thing I would recommend to them would be to increase security on entry. Due to recent circumstances I would expect some sort of bag check or pat down as you walk in but there wasn't anything, which, rightly or wrongly, did make me feel a little uneasy. Other than that a great value and great shows!!

Lovely local theatre with a friendly atmosphere
A great little venue with good food and drink. Also a great venue for live music, comedy and theatre. Recommended.
