Cinemas around Plymouth

25 Derrys Cross, Plymouth PL1 2SW, UK – 01752 225553

An unpretentious no thrills cinema. But bargain prices for tickets, food and drink means you won’t have to get a second mortgage to go to the cinema. It also does NHS and military discount. Love this place

Very good prices. It's a old cinema. Seats are very uncomfortable. Screen 3 is very small.. love this cinema been going there for years. Shows the Top films. Also has 3d films. Centre of Town. Lots of car parks around. X

Barbican Leisure Park, Shapters Road, Coxside, Plymouth PL4 0LG, UK – 0345 308 4620

The best cinema in Plymouth, of which there is two. And it's not exactly hard to beat the other one. Amazing selection of current films. Good comfortable seats and I love that the arms can go up- perfect for cuddling next to a date. The lights down the middle remained on but dim and this was distracting at certain points. The prices, of course, are very very expensive. As is common among all Vue cinemas.

The screens are clean and the food is good although expensive. There is an abundance of free parking and multiple restaurants surrounding if you fancy a bite before your film. This is a gauranteed great day out if you have the money. The seats are comfy and you can always upgrade for £2. The audio and film are both very sharp. Compared to other local cinemas this is definitely the one to the highest standard. If your a tourist or local, Vue is a great place to visit.

Jill Craigie Cinema

Drake Circus, Plymouth PL4 8AA, UK – 01752 585050

Hired the space for a private event, it really made it! Catering from the university was great with really helpful and friendly staff assisting. Couldn't have been happier.

It's one of the lecture theatres. Completely depends on what you've turned-up for.

Theatres for Plymouth

Barbican Theatre

Castle St, Plymouth PL1 2NJ, UK – 01752 267131

Lovely local theatre with a friendly atmosphere. The staff clearly care about the artist and audience experience. Hidden in the historic Plymouth Barbican they frequently also create work that leads the audience through these side streets.

This is a great Theatre encouraging innovative performances. Lovely atmosphere and friendly welcome for all.

Theatre Royal Plymouth

Royal Parade, Plymouth PL1 2TR, UK – 01752 267222

Clean and tidy with reasonable prices on tickets and food/drink. We've loved our visits here. The only thing I would comment on is that the seating can get a bit uncomfortable if you're around for a while. Highly recommended though. I travelled to New York a couple years ago and tried Broadway out. In my humble opinion TRP eclipses Broadway one thousand times over. If you haven't seen a show, you should. I've seen West Side Story, Madame Butterfly and Tosca and all were fantastic. Amazing casts and sets with a great atmosphere from the crowd.

We had a meal in the restaurant before the performance of The Importance of being Earnest. Our table was available from 17 .30 so we could have a leisurely meal. The menu offered a good choice and our meals were delicious. We could, if we wished, have had our puddings delivered to our table during the interval. If course we enjoyed the play and the whole experience. Well done Theatre Royal.

Devonport Playhouse

6C Fore St, Plymouth PL1 4DW, UK – 01752 606507

It's a loverly theatre. It's has a chair lift for the disabled. Men's and women's's had stalls and a balcony area to watch performances. It's a lovely cosy theatre. Has a small coffee area that serve hot and cold drinks Alcohol beer wine and snacks. A small sweet kiosk . I've seen the most Amazing shows. By local Theatre company's. Prices for tickets are very reasonable.

I have seen many good productions at this theatre. The prices are reasonable and facilities are adequate. Groups performing here always have a "professional" semblance.
